What is a transponder and do I need one?
A transponder is a small device that allows our computer to wirelessly detect a ride passing our scoring system. We are requiring all races to use a transponders for all races. The cost per transponder is $20, they should last several years as long as you don't get it damaged. If damaged, it’s as easy as purchasing a new one and replacing it.
Bikes & Quads:
Transponders should be mounted on the underside of the helmet visor. Transponder needs to be at least an inch away from the rider's body. Helmets with carbon fiber or metallic paint may cause interference.
UTVs:
UTV’S we suggest you put them on the front hood on Plastic only. Tech will help you with proper location.
Trucks & Buggies:
Truck/Buggy Transponders will be mounted with a rubber backing plate.
